A four day national mega-media fest, offers a platform for college students from all over the nation to not only
demonstrate their skills and talent to the world, but also provide them a golden opportunity to interact with media entrepreneurs and gain practical experience. From media interactions to film screenings, from literary events to cultural concerts, from competitive events to informal interactions, this affair has it all. All this and the fun quotient make SPANDAN one of the
biggest and most popular media events of the capital.

Spandan, since its conception in 2004, has always been an initiative of final year students of Vivekananda School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Through the years, Spandan has become an established brand name in the festive calendar and one of the most awaited media and cultural
extravaganzas. The journey of SPANDAN has always been a stupefying
triumph in itself and it recapitulated the same success story; it promises to be exuberant in every manner possible for both the participants and the spectators alike.

This event is pertinently named Spandan signifying heartbeat in Sanskrit, aimed at bringing together hundreds of students and teachers of Vivekananda School of Journalism and Mass Communication as a workforce, to pave the way towards the success of this grand event. The devotion and persistence of these students is the reason why Spandan is steadily getting bigger and better with every passing year. The name, Spandan, itself generates this emotional fervor that drives the youth to achieve success beyond expectations; the idea being, to discover and appreciate different talents across all possible platforms. The Spandan team expects fresh talent from different college and
institutes to register and participate in these events. Participation in these is not only for the sake of recognition and accolades but this also serves as a free crash course where one can brush up their respective talents.
