St. Xavier's College, Patna was started in 2009 with the sole purpose of providing quality and value based education to the students of Bihar. This College is managed by the Jesuits, who are internationally recognized for running schools and colleges of excellence. In India alone the Jesuits are at present responsible for 153 high schools like St. Michael’s and St. Xavier’s in Patna, 38 colleges like St. Xavier’s Kolkata, Ranchi, Mumbai and 22 Technical Institutions. Besides, the Jesuits have 5 Social Institutes, 11 management like XLRI Jamshedpur, XIM Bhubaneswar, XISS Ranchi and 6 Centers of Scientific Research in disciplines like History, Botany and Zoology. With the growing demand of professional courses, a sister concern was opened and was called St. Xavier's College of Management and Technology.

We started courses like B.B.A, B.C.A and B.Com (Professional) which are affiliated to Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna and have been operational since 2012. Our Education pattern is unique in the sense that we provide value education along with our syllabus and pay equal attention to extra-curriculum and co-curriculum and social issues. We have incorporated mandatory social service in our curriculum and are trying to instill in our students the importance of social responsibility.
