Located across acres of reclaimed, resurrected jungle , in the Tiger Heartland of the World,Singinawa Jungle Lodge offers a unique experience of the forests of Central India .The Lodge offers a chance to not only learn about the tiger and its habitat but also experience ecologically responsible tourism & see conservation at work benefiting both local communities and the Tiger Reserve. Trained naturalists take you on safari in customized 4x4vehicles to offer an insight into the unique ecosystem of the park where animals like the highly endangered SwampDeer, Dhole, Gaur, Tiger and a whole host of birds may beseen. Back from safari, you can savor a choice of cuisines, relax at the spa, go for a bicycle ride into the nearby tribal village, visit the model organic farm in the property or even take a walk on the land to see how degraded land has been protected and natural grasslands & forests allowed to regenerate.

The Lodge, set in an embrace of trees, is a stately stone building with whimsical and eclectic elements of gond art and delightful hand painted murals with landscapes of Kanha in the formal dining area and The Watering Hole . The Lodge contains a lounge – the Watering Hole, a choice of dining venues – the Lair and Bhaat Kholi, a souvenir shop (the Dukaan), the kitchens , the reception and the Naturalist lounge.

Half a dozen elegant stone and slate cottages with live fireplaces, and hand painted art are set on either side of the lodge in serene, undisturbed sal forests. Adjacent sprawling maidans (grasslands) are home to several hundred spotted deer often seen grazing around the lodge. Over 170 species of birds have been identified on the grounds and many can be seen from the private patios of every cottage. Singinawa is in itself a regularly visited refuge for much of Kanha’s wildlife as it merges with the cast Buffer zone jungles to the east while the Tannaur River protects and beautifies its western limits with a perennial flow of water. Two cottages and the Lodge have barrier free access.

Added in 2015 is The Perch with four beautiful rooms which has avifauna themed interiors , a dining and living room, kitchen and a pink lotus pond where birds and hanuman langurs quench their thirst when passing by.

KANHA MUSEUM OF LIFE AND ART
My journey started with the preservation and patronage of tribal and folk art at Must Art gallery in Delhi which enabled me to support many genres of indigenous art . This passion led to the induction of The Kanha Museum of Life and Art at Singinawa Jungle Lodge.
Nestled congruously within the estate, the 1,000 square foot museum is an ode to the indigenous Gond and Baiga artisans and their labors of love. Mirroring the undulating curves of the forest, the museum is designed to host pieces of art that are placed in a fashion that allows the viewer to glide through a visual escapade without being bound by the realms of soporific and predictable patterns. An allegorical homage to the free spirit of nature, the museum will also host art installations in the open with a focus on the ethos of Kanha.
While appreciation of art may be food for the soul, one may always feel the urge to sit back and absorb the beauty over refreshments which will be available at a café within the precincts of the museum. Now there’s the perfect plan all ready to be explored!
