Durgiana Mandir is a few yards away from Railway Station & about 1.5 km from the Bus Stand. The idea to built Shree Durgiana Mandir as it stands today was the brain child of Gur Shai Mal Kapoor, a great visionary and religious minded person. His statue in monumental alabaster in a sitting posture has been established just opposite the main entrance or Darshani Deori. The foundation stone of the temple was laid down by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya in 1924 on Ganga Dashmi day. Reaching out to society/ Extension services and service to humanity being the corner stone of Hindu faith, Shree Durgiana Committee (Regd) runs the following service units to extend help & succor to the needy and the deserving :

1. Shree Lakshmi Narayan Ayurvedic College & Hostel being run by the society prepares students for B.A.M.S. degree, and is affiliated to Baba Farid University of medical sciences, Faridkot.

2. The “Sanskrit College” is being run very successfully for the society since long. Students are imparted education in Sanskrit language and literature free of cost. Even stipends, free boarding and lodging are borne by the Durgiana Management Committee.

3. Shree Lakshmi Narain stitching school provides free training especially to widows to enable them to earn there livelihood.

4. The temple also offers night shelter to the piligrims in its commodious “Shrimati Dhanwant Kaur Dharamshala” built within the temple periphery. A renovated sant niwas is also built to accommodate litrated katha vachaks and there disciples.

5. Langar for the pillgrims and needy people is run by the Durgiana Management Committee at “Langar Bhavan” in Parikarma.
