As a minority educational institute, the main aim of the Sri Guru Gobind Singh College lies in “empowerment-through-education’ to the economically, socially or politically underprivileged students in the region of North India.
Education here refers to equal stress on academic, cultural and literal, sports, spiritual, NSS and NCC activities. It is our belief that the above-mentioned categories are equally important in realising the full potential of a students’ character. We might even state with pride that our students have continuously been getting university positions or national merits in one category or the other.
As we are strategically located in Chandigarh – the hub of educational activities in North India – we are able to accommodate and reach out to the students of Haryana, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh apart from the local UT residents. Maintaining a cosmopolitan environment we occasionally get students from other parts of India and foreign nationals too.
