Samhati by MILANA 2.22

Samhati is a new initiative by MILANA that empowers underprivileged and vulnerable women to earn a livelihood through needlework and tailoring. (http://milanabgl.webs.com/).

"Samhati" in Sankrit translates to “Joint effort” and is in perfect spirit of what we do here. Through the generosity of a neighborhood tailor and Milana supporters, we were able to collect and curate leftover bits of cloth and transformed them into beautiful patchwork quilts, bags, Folders and Baby apparel. Each piece is unique, handcrafted and painstakingly put together thanks to the able training of Ms. Shabnam Zehra from Ethnocraft (https://www.facebook.com/Ethnocraft-188333874601734/). Each Samhati creation is a work of art, because there are no facsimiles and every product is one-of-a-kind!
