Narula Institute of Technology, WBUT 5.4

Narula Institute of Technology is an engineering college established in the year 2001 in the Agarpara region of Kolkata. Managed under the JIS group educational initiative, this college has established itself as one of the pioneering colleges of technology in West Bengal. This college provides bachelors (B.Tech) and masters (M.Tech only in Computer Science Engineering) in the following engineering disciplines: Electronics and Communication, Civil, Electrical, Computer Science, Applied Electronics and Instrumentation, and Information Technology.
The college got a feather in the cap when in 2006 it was accredited among the few engineering colleges in India, the prestigious NBA accreditation from New Delhi, (Indian Central Government) for the disciplines: ECE,EE and IT. Since then the college has at many times been rated by many websites as among the top 10 private engineering colleges both in Kolkata and in the state. Recently the college will also be taking part in the TEQUIP (Technical Quality Education Programme, World Bank) programme. For many significant research works the college has at many times been awarded grants by the Government of India.
Admission into the college is strictly by WBJEE and AIEEE exams and the respective rank input which happens to be quite high. The college is affiliated under WBUT and approved by the AICTE.
The college provides annual campussing to passing out students with many placed over the years successfully in the global blue chip companies like: Infosys, Cognizant, TCS, Capgemmini, L&T, Simplex and many more. The college is also among the few chosen by the Indian software giant Infosys for their "Campuss Connect" programme.In 2011 the college also got Huawei Tech and ORACLE as their recriters in the Campussing drive. The college also has the School of Management Studies-NIT which provides both the BBA and MBA diciplines. Along with the Engineering and Management disciplines there is also the BCA and MCA studies.
