Montfort Matriculation School, St. Thomas Mount, added to the Montfort’s string of pearls is an institution that endeavors to impart “Holistic Education” to children. The school was inaugurated on 10th June 2002 in the presence of Ms Sandra D Grewal, Member of the Legislative Assembly and Rev. Bro. K. K. Thomas, former Provincial of Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel, Yercaud Province.


Since then, the school has grown constantly and achieved strength and stature in the society. Various activities held in the school ranging from Meditation and Magic show to Exhibitions and Elocutions; Mega events like Investiture Ceremony, Sports day, Unified Sports day, and Annual day celebrations have contributed to its growth and reputation.

Right from the day of its inception, the Montfort has had many celebrities such as Mr. A. K. Murthy, former Union Minster of State for Railways, Mr. Shanmugam, Ex. MLA, Mr. T. N. Seshan, former Chief Election commissioner, Shri R. Velu, Union Minister of State for Railways, Mr. W. I. Davaram, Vice President SDAT, Chennai, Rev. Bro. Rene Delorme, Superior General, Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel from Rome, Rev. Bro. John Kallarakal,
Assistant General, Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel from Rome, and recently, Mr. Prem Kumar Menon, Producer and Director and Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, visiting the school on various occasions.

Our school was also honoured by the visits of Honorable Former President Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, Actor D. Napoleon, and a delegation of 17 brothers from France, Rev. Fr.
