Based in the heart of Chennai's thriving film and music industry, the KM College of Music and Technology was inaugurated on 9 August 2013 by its founder, A. R. Rahman, and special guests, Mukesh and Nita Ambani.
The College is housed in a state-of-the-art campus near MMDA Colony in Arumbakkam, in Chennai. It houses the renowned KM Music Conservatory, which attracts faculty and students from around the world to study Western and Indian classical music and audio technology, as well as A. R. Rahman's very own KM Studios, and The Shunshine Orchestra for underprivileged children.
