Started by Mr. Narendra Hirani - a profound social activist from Vile Parle, 'Jagrut' is an NGO in 2009 with a vision to change every sphere of life, to touch souls and change destinies.

‘Jagrut’ believes that all lives have equal values, which is why our principal motive is to unite people, breaking of social barriers, taboos and atrocities that have plagued us since centuries like caste, creed, religious intolerance etc.
'Jagrut' has worked on multiple social fields and issues like -
1. Blood Donation Camp
2. Cancer Detection camps for women
3. Camps for the handicapped and mentally challenged children.
4. Fund raising event for cancer patients.
5. Awareness campaign like SAVE WATER, BAN PLASTIC BAGS, CLEANLINESS DRIVE IN VILE PARLE
6. Workshop for Senior Citizens.
7. Supporting and educating street and orphaned children.
8. Medical Camp for the needy with more than 50 different tests.
9. AADHAAR card drive in Vile Parle.
10. Fund raising for orphaned children by SALMAN KHAN.
11. Free Cataract Operation.
12. Medical Help to Old and destitute women.
13. Rural Education to women and children and to make them aware of their rights.
14. Empowerment of Women to be self sufficient.
