The word "Advaita" (pronunciation: ədˈvʌɪtə) is born from the Sanskrit word "dve" meaning "two" or "duality". With the 'a' preceding the word, "Advaita" thus means 'not two' or "oneness", and signifies the "absence of duality". This oneness is the fundamental quality of everything.
