Haryana Veterinary Council 2.95

The Haryana State Veterinary Council is a Statutory Body which became functional w.e.f. 15 Feb,1989 by adoption of The Indian Veterinary Council Act,1984 and charged with the responsibilities of regulation of veterinary practice in the state, standards of veterinary education, preparation and maintenance of an State Veterinary practitioners' register.

The first election of members of the council under Section 3(3)(g) of the Act was conducted by the Central Government in 1999 which consists of 27 members (14 nominated, 11 elected & 2 ex-officio).
