Bishop Johnson College is a private high school and a college located at 9/23, MG Marg, Civil Lines in Allahabad, India.Established in 1977 under the administration of the Anglican Diocese of Lucknow, and affiliated to ICSE Board, the college provides education from Pre-kindergarten to High school level. Since 2004 BJC offers Bachelor's degree in Commerce under the constituency of Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences.The college caters to academic development as well as provide career counselling for students along with NCC, coaching in various sports and co-curricular activities, and personality development program through various seminars and group discussions.HistoryFoundationBJC was officially established on 11 November 1977, before which the institution served as a girl's hostel and a convent. The first Headmistress appointed was Mrs. Kanchan Singh who worked effectively for the early years of development of the college. Initially, BJC enrolled students from Pre-K to Grade 5 and started attracting students of Bachelor of Education from neighboring cities like Kanpur, Lucknow And Varanasi.
